With only attending 2 shows in 2005 Bella ranked:

#8 female in the DDBS for the year

After over 5 years in the ring, Bella is officially retired from showing. Bella has shown in France, Mexico and all over the US. She has attended 6 DDBS Nationals, multiple regional specialties and has been critiqued and rated EXCELLENT by world renowned judges. She achieved multiple champion & grand champion titles in several different show organizations and has won multiple BEST IN SHOW awards. She ends her career as the #2 female Dogue de Bordeaux (based on conformation points) in US history. We never dreamed Bella would achieve so much, but we could not be prouder. She has always been owner/breeder handled and we thank Bella for always being a trooper and making showing so much fun. Not only does she shine in the show ring, but in every day life she is just as bright. She truly is our pride and joy!!!

We could not have asked for a better ending than this years DDBS Nationals. Bella placed 1st in the Champion female class and went on to win Best Female and Best of Opposite sex. This win was truly a dream come true for us!!! We are so thrilled it is hard to express in words. At 5 years of age, here is her critique from FCI & SADB licensed judge, Benoit Thevenon:

DDBS 2004 Central Regional Best of Opposite Sex Winner

With only attending a few shows this year, Bella still managed to do the following:

2004 #2 female Dogue de Bordeaux in the DDBS, #6 overall ddb for the year!

#1 female Dogue de Bordeaux in Rarities

#2 overall point earning female in the DDBS!

#4 overall Grand Champion points in the DDBS!

#5 overall point earning dogue in the history of the DDBS!!!

Bella is a new Rarities GRAND Champion!!

UPDATE: October 2004 - Bella wins BEST IN SHOW at the IABCA show in Loveland, CO!!!

Bella goes to France!! Bella attended the 2004 SADB French National Specialty held on Sept 5th. She received an EXCELLENT rating in a large open class and passed the TAN test. It was a dream come true to show our girl at the world's largest ddb show!!! Click above to enlarge her critique.

Bella showed at her first regular show of the year at the Denver Rarities show. She came home with three Best of Breed's, a Group 3, two Group 1's and TWO RESERVE BEST IN SHOWS!!! One of her breed wins was under DDBS Sanctioned judge Stuart Rogell.

 

Bella placed 4th in the Champion Class at the DDBS Nationals with an EXCELLENT rating under Italian judge Rolando Balestrini. It was an excellent line-up of bitches and we were honored to place!!

06/12/03 - Bella placed 9th overall out of 393 of the UKC's top rated dogs, at the invitational UKC Premier Top 10 competition. This is a FIRST for a bordeaux to even make it out of the semi-final rounds, let alone actually making the overall best in top 10 comp!!! Bella was evaluated by 5 judges to get her to this spot, not to mention the numerous judges who placed Bella in the UKC last year putting her #1 in the breed with them. We could not be prouder with Bella's achievements at the UKC's largest annual show!

2003 DDBS National Specialty in Hutto, TX under FCI judge Pedro Bispo of Portugal

April 2003 - Bella earns her first Group 1 at an ALL-BREED show! She also took two Group 3's and three Best in Show Brace's.

Bella completed her Rarities International, American and Canadian
championships this year. She also became an ARBA champion and a UKC Grand Champion. Bella loves to show, and her record shows it! We are so very proud of our girl and her accomplishments.  Below are her critiques under FCI judges. We will continue to show Bella as she matures.

Bella placed 4th in her class in the Puppy Sweepstakes on Saturday!  At this show she also successfully passed the ERBDC Temperament test at the young age of 7 months old.
