Hugo missed the annual DDBSA Top 10 competition and the Regional Best of Breed Competition at Nationals, however he qualified for both events.

He placed 4th in the Bred-by Class under SADB Judge Anne-Marie Class of France. Pictures coming soon...

DDBSA National Specialty, April 2008 - Loveland, CO


Hugo showed one day at the IABCA shows in Loveland, CO (March 08). He earned two Best of Breed's, two Bred-by Best of Breed's and two BBE Group 2's.

Hugo wins the 2007 DDBSA Central Regional Specialty show (Sept 2007) under AKC Best in Show judge Dana Cline!! He also won Best Stud dog with his kids Bogie and Gigi, and Best Brace with Shrek.

Congratulations to Hugo's son, Oak Hollow D'Star Bogilicious for his Best of Breed puppy win at this show and to his daughter, Evergreen's Prima Donna, for her Best of Opposite puppy. Both kids made us proud!!


At the ARBA Rocky Mountain Classic (Sept 2007) Hugo won four Best of Breeds, and two Group 4's.

Hugo won his 6th Best in Miscellaneous Class in a row at the Greeley Kennel Club AKC shows (Aug 2007) all with competition!! He earned two Best of Breeds and two Best in Misc Class wins this weekend.


Hugo showed at the Rarities Rocky Mountain Classic (July 2007). He won two Best of Breed's a Group 2, a Group 1 and a Reserve Best in Show!!


Hugo finishes his DDBSA Championship!!! He won two Best of Breed's and two Best in Misc Class at the Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club AKC shows in Loveland, CO (June/July 2007). There were six ddb entered in these shows which was a record for an AKC show in CO!! We are very proud of our boy.

*** Hugo won two Best of Breeds and two Best in Miscellaneous Class at the Flat Irons Kennel Club AKC shows in Longmont, CO (June 2007). These wins gave him two majors towards his DDBSA Championship!


     

Hugo traveled to Mexico City (May 2007) to show one day at the FCI World Dog Show. He made the cut of the top 5 out of 11 dogs in the Open Class. He also received an Excellent rating under judge Kari Jarvinen.


Hugo rated EXCELLENT and placed 2nd in the Bred-by class at the 2007 DDBSA Nationals under FCI judge Joao Vasco Pocas.


Hugo won Best of Breed and his first Best in Miscellaneous Class at the Terry All Kennel Club Sunday show in Brighton, CO (April 07)


    

  Hugo traveled to Poznan, Poland (Nov 2006) for the FCI World Dog Show.  He competed in the Intermediate Class, and although he did not place it was a great experience to exhibit him at this world wide level. We saw many of our European friends and made some new ones as well. Hugo also showed at the Polish ddb club match in Sierakow.

Hugo became a new ARBA Champion at their Rocky Mountain Classic (Sept 2006). He won 4 Best of Breed's, One Group 3, Three Group 1's, a Reserve Best in Show and TWO BEST IN SHOWS!! He also earned the "Best in Classic" award which is given to the dog who earned the most points over the weekend. Hugo's 2nd Best in Show was under an FCI judge from Sweden, Lars Adeheimer. We are so proud of our boy, and to think he did all of this at just under 20 months of age. :)


Hugo was the Best of Breed winner at the Evergreen Kennel Club Saturday show in Greeley, CO (Sept 2006).

Hugo wins Best of Breed at two back to back AKC weekends. He won his class and took breed on both Saturday shows at the Buckhorn Valley KC & Greeley KC shows (August 2006). Shrek was the Sunday winner both weekends as well.


Hugo showed at the Rarities show in Greeley, CO (July 2006). He received two Best of Breed's and two Group 2's. He also placed 1st in the Bred-by class for the DDBS Central Regional Specialty.


Hugo placed FIRST in the 12-18 month male class and received an EXCELLENT rating under FCI judge Luis Pinto Teixeira at the DDBS National Specialty in Charlotte, NC (April 2006). His critique from this all breed BIS (both AKC & FCI) judge reads as follows:

EXCELLENT:  Good Size & Proportions, Correct Undershot, Good Wrinkle, Good Short Muzzle, Well Apart Eyes, Broad Skull, Strong Neck, Good Front & Feet, Deep Chest, Normal Angulation, Moves Well


Hugo showed at the IABCA show in Greeley, CO (March 2006). He earned his third IABCA youth title with all Excellent ratings and critiques. He also received four Group 2 placements (amongst AKC breed competition) and finished the weekend with a BEST IN SHOW Rare Breed Puppy.

 Hugo has earned his UKC championship! He showed one day at the High Plains Kennel Club UKC show in Kiowa, CO (March 2006) and completed his last major. This is Hugo's first "adult" championship title.

Hugo attended a UKC show in Elbert, CO (November 2005). He earned two Best of Breeds and two Group 3's. At just 10 months of age, Hugo defeated multiple adults in the working group competition and earned two out of three majors needed towards his UKC championship.


 

Hugo showed at the IABCA show in Greeley, CO (October 2005). He earned his JA Championship and received multiple group placements with tough competition. Between the regular and bred-by working Groups he came home with three Group 1's, two Group 2's and one Group 3. He finished the weekend on a high note by winning a Reserve Best in Show Bred-by Puppy and a BEST IN SHOW RARE BREED Puppy!!!

At the Rocky Mountain Classic, Hugo earned 5 out of the 9 points needed towards his ARBA Championship. He received 5 Winner's Dogs, 4 Best of Opps, 1 Best of Breed and a Group 4...all at just 8 months old!

Hugo made his UKC adult show debut at the Twin Peaks shows in Longmont, CO (July 2005). He earned 4 Winner's Dogs, and 4 Best of Breeds at just 6 months of age.

At a local fun match (July 2005), Hugo took Best of Breed and then went on to place 4th in a very large Working Group.


Hugo placed SECOND in the 3-6 month puppy class and received an EXCELLENT rating under FCI judge Madame Helene Denis at the DDBS National Specialty in Kalamazoo, MI (April 2005). His critique from this SADB licensed French judge reads as follows:

EXCELLENT:  Red mask, Well proportioned, Top condition, Good head with typical expression, Large skull for a puppy, Nice wrinkles, Well placed eyes, Ears are big but puppy, Prognathism correct, Good shoulders, excellent topline, Excellent feet, Excellent tail, Good movement, Very good handling.

At the 2005 DDBS Nationals Puppy Sweepstakes, Hugo placed 2nd place in his class under AKC judge Rita Biddle.


Hugo made his show ring debut at the IABCA show in Greeley, CO (March 2005). He came home with multiple group placements and a Reserve Best in Show Rare Breed Puppy!! Against older AKC breeds he received two Group 1's, two Group 2's and three Group 3's. He also earned his IABCA BA champion title. We are very proud of the heffalump's first show!
